About Charles
Charles Grimsdale has spent four decades doing what most people only dream about—repeatedly spotting what's next, building it first, and moving on before comfort became a cage. He founded Division at 29, one of the world's first VR and 3D visualization companies, when most people had never heard of virtual reality. Then he co-founded OD2 with Peter Gabriel, pioneering legal digital music distribution across Europe years before Spotify existed.
After a successful run with Eden Ventures—backing over 65 early-stage tech companies—he faced a harder realization: he was happiest as a builder and operator, not a financial investor. So he left.
Today, Charles runs a recording studio, record label, and production company, mentoring emerging artists through Seven Songs Records and Space In Time Productions. His philosophy: fulfillment comes not from maximizing wealth, but from creating, mentoring, and focusing on what genuinely matters.
